The Super Falcons of Nigeria have defeated the Bayana Bayana of South Africa 1-0 to qualify for the final of the 2016 African Women Cup of Nations.Desire Oparanozie got the lone goal for Nigeria in the 53rd minute after a barren first half.
Oparanozie saw her thunderous freekick deflected off the wall into the net to give Nigeria the breakthrough.
Hosts, Cameroon already made it to the final after beating Ghana 1-0 earlier in the day and will now meet Nigeria in the final.
It was the fourth semi-final meeting between both teams in the history of the AWCON with the Nigerian ladies now having a 4-0 head-to-head record against the South Africans.
